Long distance review 300 mile

Just had a terrible experience with this amateur moving company. Every person I spoke to blamed the constant price increase on "the boss" Hector. They were constantly late, then when they finally have your belongings on their truck, surprise, pay me cash before we can do anything else.

I would call this operation the Devils Den as the price went up and up and up. All i can say is never, never, never....ever use this company, you will regret it for a long long time.

If you evertalkto Hector, Danny, or "the boss" run and never look back. Absolutely a terrible company filled with nothing but sophisms. Never on time, always an excuse. They will also say " I'm here to help you" must have heard that 100x.

Oh, quite the contrary, i must have also heard 100x "show me the money". Justin also said first thing, we are run by veterans, and apparently Justin was in the Army, as i asked him what branch he was in. However, according to Danny B. Justin is just a call center, Hm! This guy Danny, changed every situation into something where he's "trying to help you" Danny did nothing but increase the price and extort money out of my sister. These people are bad news. All i can say is tell everyone you know, write reviews to protect the unsuspecting people they prey on. Lastly, they only take cash, Hm! Can you spell IRS, Dept. of Revenue, maybe even the FBI as they are running a scam or maybe extortion. My sister's charge went from $1,800 to $3,400. If anybody reads this and has close contacts with the above agencies let them know and maybe these agencies can shut these guys down. I'm sure these review are only the tip of the iceberg. Let's protect everyone from this terrible company.

Terrible Moving Company

My husband and I found this moving company online. When speaking with their “sales rep”, Justin he made it sound like they were the best company in the world. He said that they were a veteran employed company, temp controlled storage units, and he gave us a great rate.We soon discovered that this is by far the worst moving company out there.

First - The movers showed up late looking like they just rolled out of bed. We were quoted for three movers and only two showed up. We tried calling Justin multiple times but did not receive answer. The movers knew nothing of the third guy. They seemed like nice guys but they were not into moving with a sense of urgency. My husband actually helped load and stage the stuff as well to help them speed up the move. They were unable to fit all of our stuff in the truck so it took them two trips. They claimed that their storage unit was close by but they were gone for an extended period of time. When they finally arrived back they look like they had just taken a nap. My husband and I were pretty irritated being that this is all on paid time. After they were all done they gave me the price to which had us being charged for 3 guys. We asked why and they said we had to talk to Justin to make any adjustments, yet he wasn’t answering his phone, conveniently. They also told me that we could only pay with cash, Venmo, or Zelle. Super shady especially since our deposit was taken with a debit card and charged by Thoughtful Moving. We finally spoke to Justin so we could ask how to could get our money back for being charge for a third guy. He told us that they would set us up with a credit so when we moved our stuff out of storage we could apply the money to that. We told him that we did not want that being that we would not be using their movers next time and he told us that that was all he could do.

Second - When it came time to move our stuff out we did not want to use their movers because we did not like their quality of work and we were overcharged the previous time. Justin told us that there would be a charge of $125 to get their guys there, then on top of that it would be a $500 to get stuff out even though we were using our own movers. We asked why it would be $500 and he said that it would take two people five hours to stage the items for us to take. We were super confused by how he came up with this extremely high estimate. He said that it could always be lower if it took them less time. We also inquired about the credit to which said oh yeah I already applied that for you guys. Bogus. At this point we just wanted our stuff so we asked him the address to which he did not know. He had to text us the location a few minutes later.

Third - We arrived early at their “storage facility” to see one guy with a forklift putting our crates in the parking lot while his kids were running all over the place. It may be took him 30 minutes to do so. We then received a call from the same guy in the parking lot asking if we were the ones waiting. We told him yes. Once my husband got up there he asked how much it would be and he told my husband that Justin told him to make sure he got $500 from us before we got our stuff. My husband questioned the price being that he was the only person there and that it did not take him anywhere near five hours. He said he didn’t know anything about that and that we had to talk to Justin before getting our stuff. Surprise surprise Justin did not answer the phone. We ended up calling a different number to speak to Miguel “the owner”. We asked him the same questions as to why we were being charge so much. He tried making a bunch of excuses but overall he didn’t know what to say being that they did not expect us to show up to witness what we did. He then was irritated and said “OK it’s a minimum two hours $200.” At that point we just wanted out of this scam so we accepted the offer and had our movers load our stuff and leave. And once again they only took cash, venmo, or Zelle even though they accepted card card payment for the $125 and the monthly storage rate. Pretty sure they’re doing some type of tax evasion or they just don’t want the customer to do a chargeback after being scammed. And before they try to come up with some lame excuse both the $125 and the storage charges were to Thoughtful Moving on our bank account. Also, I was able to glance into their “temp controlled warehouse”. Literally looked like a garage with pallets made of plywood stacked randomly all over the place. Hmm.

I will be including two images exposing Justin for his lies. The first image is his response to the $500 charge. The second image is our invoice showing what the $500 “estimate” is for making his response invalid and a LIE.

Hopefully karma comes for these guys soon because they are HUGE scammers and liars.

Avoid avoid avoid.

We apologize for your experience. An would love to make you a happier person but based on your review and your husband's review, I find we face mount everest in making you both happier people.
1st - the screenshot was conveniently the 1st quote we sent you. After listening to the phone conversation you stated there was extra property to move so you and Justin agreed on adding an extra hour so the quote You e-signed for with the email-juliansheard727@gmail.com
Was actually $675. It states in the contract you signed If the quote goes over ewe bill by the 1/4 hour is additional time is needed. Our 12,000 square foot facility is air conditioned and we do utilize storage vaults that most ever major moving company uses in their storage facilities for storage in transit. I understand your frustration with billing as you were told the quote should take X amount of time and it took 1 extra hour only. I honestly feel yours and your husband's review for an 1 hour of billing over is a little extra on your part but I get it. AGAIN IM NOT HEARING ABOUT DAMAGES, I HEAR A CLIENT THAT EXPECTS THEIR SERVICEMEN TO RUN FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE JOB TO THE END OF THE JOB. I believe if the movers that you referred to as nice enough would have rushed the job to help save you money, I would be responding to a review about damaged furniture.
And with the cost per sqfoot in tampa storage is expensive.
You were given 1 month free and your closing was pushed back so your expectations of 1 month free ended up
June free
July
August
September
October
November 27th is the date you decided you wanted to pick up your property and put it in another storage.

I get it's our fault you couldn't find another place and the storage bill racked up.

You didn't pay you 1st storage bill till
August 25th which was 3 months after you moved in because we understood your a person and not a number.
So per the storage contract we DID NOT auction your property for nonpayment like any other storage facilities will. We footed the bill and waited for your payment.

Again sorry for your experience we did not mean to be kind and thoughtful and work with you in times of need.
If you really need the hour refunded call 8139405900 ask to speak to frank he will see to it that you recieve the help you need.

Great moving help!!

My wife and I were going to move our things ourselves.. but once we started to pack our boxes and actually looking at the furniture to move the easier it was to make the decision NOT TO MOVE IT OURRSELVES..LMAO.. the pain in the butt was actually all the calls that came in I only wanted 2 or 3 quotes to compare.. but expect like 15 calls .. luckily justin at thoughtfulmoving.com called and gave us a very detailed overview of what we were up against to make this happen.. so we reserved the truck as he instructed ..and believe it or not it got easier every step of the way.. darell justin and Chris were so careful with all our stuff, and made it look so easy.. they had the beds out the room before I could even say.. oh by the way be careful with that.. MY WIFE AND I really did absolutely nothing.. if I can recommend a company that will make your move a easy one.. call thoughtfulmoving.com.. I wil deffinately use them again!!

Stay FAR AWAY!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM. Not only are they scammers but it looks like they’re avoiding paying taxes. You can only pay in “cash and Venmo”. No card. Lucky my for them I reported them to the IRS.

Justin and Miguel are running a giant ass scam. They told me it would take “2 people 5 hours to stage my items” I pull up to see one guy unloading the crates from the warehouse all within 10 min. The guy tells me Justin said it’s $500 to get your stuff. WTF. I call Miguel who tries to argue like a hillbilly. He says minimum 2 hours $200. I paid it because I had no choice. F&!$ this moving company. And f$&@ Justin

Oh and invoices disappear after you pay them. So sceenshot them like I did.

We apologize for your experience. Your property was picked up on 5/28/21 and brought to our storage in transit facility, Where you were given 1 month free storage. You had 5 units or equivalent to 2 bedrooms of furniture, these units are 7x7x5 and that you were paying $375 per month which you were upset about so you made arrangements to pick up your own property. Per our contracts we charge a minimum of $100 per unit for self pick up because our company is built around the redelivery of property is included in our hourly rate. Miguel the hillbilly you spoke of was kind enough to lower the payment from $500 to $200 to cover basic loading labor. Fortunately you were not affected by the overall tampa rent increase so you wouldn't understand the cost for the 5 units or the labor costs associated with paying our men a living wage.

I AM HAPPY YOUR PROPERTY WAS ---.--.MOVED WITHOUT DAMAGE
-.YOU RECIEVED YOUR 1 MONTH FREE STORAGE
-. THE MOVERS DID AN EFFICENT JOB.

BASED ON YOUR TYPE OF COMPLAINT I WOULD HAVE EXPEXTED YOU TO ALSO SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT OUR SERVICE WHICH YOU DIDNT. .

ALL THE BEST

Worst Move Ever.

On May 13, 2019, my initial contact was with Justin, who, at that time, was very professional. I had previously retained another moving company. Upon speaking with Justin, I canceled the other company and retained Thoughtful, because I was getting 3 movers as opposed to the other company's 2. I explained to Justin that I had not signed my lease and would do so at 9:00 a.m. on the 14th (the day of the move). Justin informed me to call him as soon as I sign the lease, and the movers would be at my location between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. I agreed to that arrangement and paid the $200 deposit. That same day, I received a telephone call from Francois F. Mohamed ("Frank"). Frank confirmed the arrangements, and left his cellphone number. On May 14, at approximately 9:20 a.m., I called Thoughtful and spoke with Justin and informed him that I'd signed the lease. Justin stated that I would receive a call "shortly" from dispatch. I never received the call. I called Thoughtful and was NOT able to speak with Justin after that -- only received text messages as to his "unavailability". Each time I called, I left messages regarding the mishandling of the move! Finally, I received a text message informing me that the movers would be at my house, now, between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
At 2:00 p.m., no movers. I called Frank, who was very evasive, and did a 3-way and called Darrell to ascertain the estimated time of arrival. Frank assured me the movers would arrive "within the hour". The hour passed, no movers! I repeatedly called Frank's cellphone and left messages for a return call. The movers finally arrived at 4:30 p.m. I immediately told them that I did not want any time wasted on my move, because they were tired from the prior move. Darrell stated, “We are not tired.” As soon as one of the movers entered, his first remarks were, “Oh, this is going to be over 6 hours.” I knew then, it was all about the money, as I have used “professional” movers on 3 other occasions, and it has NEVER taken them more than 5 hours, from start to finish, and it was 2 men and a truck! I showed them the items that had to be taken to storage. Those items should have been loaded last, but not all were. The chairs to the dinette set were loaded toward the front of the truck and were NOT placed in storage with the dinette table! They stacked the 4 chairs in the back of a bedroom closed, behind various misplaced boxes!
The mirror to the second bedroom set was not attached to the dresser, because one of the movers (Darrell’s cousin) misplaced the bolts! I asked Darrell what were they going to do about the bolts to my mirror? He stated that they would buy more bolts and attach the mirror. The frame to the bed in the master bedroom was neither set up nor put together properly! The head of the railings were turned to the side, and collapsed in the middle. I immediately called Darrell, and he was nice enough to come back and turn the bed and attempted to tighten the bolts; however, the railing has since collapsed on one side!
All boxes were properly marked for which room they belonged. Instead, the movers just placed and stacked boxes EVERYWHERE, because, as I expected, they were hurrying to get finished because they were tired and wanted to leave!
On May 16, I texted Darrell about the railings and the mirror, and he stated he would come by after he got off work. He never showed up, and stated he would stop by on May 17. Again, he was a no-show. I texted on May 19, and on May 26, in an attempt to resolve the issues with the bed railing and mirror. The railing remains collapsed, and the mirror remains unattached! The final bill was outrageous! Darrell stated that I did not read my contract, and tried to go into what all they had to wrap, etc., etc. My problem was with their lack of timing, the blatant ignorance of Justin’s and Frank’s confirmations and the unfair treatment! All-in-all, the absolute WORST moving experience! I would NOT recommend them to anyone!

No / and Poor communication!

I have moved plenty of times in my life and I have hired movers many times, I have never had such a huge difference in the estimate and the final bill. The estimate was for $400+ and my total bill was $760.50. Now I understand that the first is just an estimate, however, the estimate should have also included that I said we were moving upstairs and that I had a 4 foot china hutch that had glass. Both of these items were told to Justin who gave me my estimate, in fact, Justin asked more details, like the glass and stairs. My move took about 3.5 hours, that is it! AND that includes the time they traveled, so really the move only took 3 hours. Below is a copy of my invoice and what they charged. By the way, it took 4 emails and a phone call to actually get a detailed invoice. When I talked to the owner, he stated, I should have asked the movers how much the upcharge would be for the china cabinet packing and the stairs. Well, by the time they were there, I had to move, so I was basically at their mercy and just wanted my stuff moved. I NEVER thought putting cardboard, and shrink wrap on a 4 ft. hutch and 19 stairs were going to cost $200 additional. I am upset because the lack of professional communication, and that they should have put stairs and china hutch in the invoice, which I thought they had, since I was asked specifically on these items. As a Realtor, I can assure you I will never recommend this company. Which is sad, two out of the three guys worked so very hard. The foreman just told me how dehydrated he was because he was out drinking the night before, and didn't do much of anything. We had such a small amount of items to move, I can't imagine if I would ask them to move everything in the house, like most have to.

They Have Kept my Property Hostage For 52 Days!! Read More At: Http.

They don't call/email me back.

I scheduled a move/paid deposit on 7/3 between 8-9 am to relocate from Miami to Tampa. Movers showed 5 hours late. Never called me to let me know they were going to be 5 hours late. They kept my stuff overnight in an unknown location because they got to Tampa so late they couldn't deliver my belongings to the storage and they didn't even called me to let me know they were going to do that. The next day they were supposed to put all my stuff in my storage unit, at the time they did that they broke one of my shelves and they didn't even tell me they just left it there. I was quoted for $1300 for the move. I ended up paying them $2114.30 in total. I receive a call from Mike telling me they had delivered my stuff to another customer and had left some of the others customer stuff in my storage unit. He never called me to arrange delivery, I had to reach out to him. He finally said tomorrow 4 days later and dropped off my lamp to me. All my things were beat up and scratched. He went on vacation and never texted me back when I asked for my missing things. I wonder why no one else could help me while the employees go on vacation and leave their paying customers missing their personal property. Do you not have a boss or a manager or anyone that can hold your employee's actions accountable?. Frank "The boss" It took me a month to speak with him and he has yet to answer any of my emails. When I spoke to him on August 28th he stated that I will get my property back by the end of the week if not I will be compensated well, guess what? that was 25 DAYS AGO!! .

I placed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which by the way they have multiple complaints against them about their unethical business practices my Case# 67463740. They answered to my complaint on 09/07 wrote they had located my property and were going to arrange the delivery that week, well guess what? it's been 15 days and they didn't arrange a damn thing. No call back, no email or text back. I scheduled my move to be as early as possible so I would have a chance to paint and clean my apartment before I had to turned in my keys at 5:00pm. I was not given my security deposit because the movers showed up so late that I didn't have a chance to clean or paint, that right there puts me out of $550 dollars on top of the $2114.30 I paid them for them to scratch, mishandle, break, and hold my property hostage for no reason.

We have had a horrible experience

11/2 still no response from Thoughtful Moving on reimbursement. Time since move = 3 months.

The moving crew was great. During the move our child's crib matress was damaged in the truck and torn. My wife and I were told a new matress was coming out that day and that Frank would deliver it. That didnt happen. We were told he would deliver it the next day and nothing. We have been on the phone with both Mike (area code631) and Frank (area code 954) and both "dropped connection" after realizing we were calling about this issue still. We did receive a notice from Frank that he just needed the info to get it replaced on 8/11 but all other attempts past that have not been responded to since then. We are at a loss on how a company can just ghost a customer who paid for service.

As of 9/7 I still have not received any response.

As of 9/9 still no response.

As of 9/19 still no response.

As of 9/24 still no response. Will keep updating as time goes by.

9/28 I reached out to the number given on feedback of 8139405900 and left a message for the operations manager Francois to resolve the issue. Will update once I hear back.

10/1 I called back to the number because I had not received a call back. Called 3 times. Each time Frank was not available with the last call leaving a message for him for a return call. Will update as it goes on.

10/2 Spoke with Frank and was asked to send the receipt to their info email address so it can be reimbursed to us. The receipt has been sent and I am awaiting the reimbursement. Will update when its received.

10/6 left message for Frank to find out reimbursement ETA since sending the receipt for us purchasing the matress. No call back but will update once I hear from him.

10/25 still no refund and I have not received a call back. I will try again on Monday to get the reimbursement we were told they would complete

10/27 I called the office again and let Michael know I have never heard back from Frank on the issue. He stated he would personally check in it and call me to.orrpw with an update. At this point I am unsure if I will ever get a call back from this company regarding my issue.

11/2 still no response from Thoughtful Moving on reimbursement.

Terrible customer service, unprofessional, untrained

Untrained, unprofessional, uncaring. So much damage, worst move we have ever had and we have moved all over the World. Fla to NC...just when we needed communication we got none. Frank, Justin Brown were horrible to deal with. Do not trust these folks with your move especially out of State. I have an abundance of pictures illustrating the damage. One of the reason we picked this company was because they said that they hired only Vets...as far as we can tell there are none working for them.
